Counsellor Wiebke Hendeß offers regular consultation hours on campus. The dates are announced well in advance here on the website, in the counsellor's newsletter, on social media and on posters on campus.

Consultation hour on demand

The counsellor also offers a needs consultation. Simply get in touch with her if you would like some on-site counselling. She will then collect a few interested parties and come to Emden at short notice for a personal consultation. And of course you can contact the counsellor at any time by email or phone.

Self-help group in Leer on the subject of autism/ADHD

The Autismustreff Leer is a self-organised and open self-help group for those affected, relatives and interested people.
We support each other in the search for diagnosis and therapy centres, in school issues (inclusion and compensation for disadvantages) and in all issues relating to everyday life with autism.
We create contacts and organise joint meetings.

  • Women's group: The group meets on the first Friday of the month at 6 pm.
  • For children: Relatives group: The group meets every first Saturday of the month at 2 pm.
  • Affected persons group: The group meets every second Friday of the month from 6 pm.

Barrier-free university working group at Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences

This working group meets twice a semester in public. It deals with five fields of action: Buildings and infrastructure, teaching and studying, campus and university life, communication and research. The aim is to identify and remove a wide range of barriers at the university that prevent people in "disadvantaged" situations from participating fully and effectively in university life.
